Hi, I'm Chris, and I'm based in Christchurch, New Zealand. My journey into the world of technology started way back in childhood. I've always been fascinated by how things work, constantly dreaming up inventions and wanting to understand the mechanics behind them.
That fascination only grew as I observed the incredible progress in computer technology. The speed and acceleration of innovation always captivated me, and I constantly wondered where it would all lead. This curiosity led me to discover thinkers like Ray Kurzweil, whose predictions about the future of technology resonated deeply with me and made a lot of sense.
This continuous interest in technological progress is a core part of why I started Chriko Labs. However, my drive goes deeper than just technology for technology's sake. For years, even in my previous venture focused on reducing plastic waste and litter, I've been someone who genuinely wants to do good in the world – a real do-gooder, if you will!
That's why Chriko Labs is specifically set up to help mission-driven small businesses and organizations harness the power of AI. I believe in supporting those with good intentions and will always prioritize working with customers who are demonstrably focused on making a positive impact.
My understanding of the true potential of AI really clicked in 2013 when I picked up Ray Kurzweil's book about its rise. It was a lightbulb moment that revealed the sheer magnitude of this technology.
Now, with Chriko Labs, my aim is to ensure that no one gets left behind in this rapidly evolving landscape, especially not the smaller players who might feel overshadowed by larger corporations. I want to make the transition to this new world as smooth as possible for everyone.
